This stamp set is so can stamp in various colors, as usual, or you can add one of the color coordinating SU buttons to the circle areas to make your card or project pop! Love!

And speaking of love, don't you just love the new "Summer Smooches" designer series paper (used on this card)?

everyday enchantment chip clip

Yesterday was my last day visiting my parents in Cincinnati before heading back to Chicago to lose on our new house...on Tuesday!

We are sad to see our house go...Although when we moved in a year and a half ago, we had a feeling that it wasn't going to be for long. We were right!

Out with the old...

In with the brand new...

Our new place is brand new, and we love it! It's almost finished being built and they have 2 days left to pour the concrete in the driveway, porch and sidewalk.

My mom and I decided to spend yesterday shopping, of course. After hitting up the mall we had to check out the toy store...The Container Store, that is! That's the best place to go to get all the stuff you never knew you needed!

I picked up a bag of bamboo clothespins (much nicer than the old wooden ones I might add). I really have no use for good old fashioned clothespins, so I repurposed them into cute little chip clips!

I cut strips of "Everyday Enchantment" DSP paper from the current Sale-a-Bration catalog, which I think is the prettiest Stampin' Up! paper ever! After I glued those on, I covered the whole clip with a thin layer of Mod Podge, to protect the paper. Then, I tied on ribbon (also Sale-a-Bration) and glued on butterflies that I cut out using then "Beautiful Wings" embosslits. To finish, I sprayed a layer of Smooch, which just makes everything it touches prettier!

What do you think? A set of these would make a cute gift...maybe a housewarming present? I'm thinking of making some sets of these to give to my new neighbors as they start moving in as well.

I'm and crafting has worn me out! Tomorrow...on the road again!

little additions

I've been eyeing the "Little Additions" stamp set ever since it came out in the new catalog last July. I'm always making baby gifts and cards and thought this set would be perfect! Things have been so crazy recently that I've neglected all of my new stamp sets!

Fortunately I had a little bit of time yesterday to put together a baby card...

Looking back I think I needed to add some more pizzazz, but it'll do for now...

more summer smooches

I forgot to add this other "Summer Smooches" card to the last post!

summer smooches

I had to do it...I had to pre-order the new "Summer Smooches" suite, which will be available to the public as of April 1st!

There's bright, cheery paper, a stamp set...oh, and Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon! Yay!
Oh, and ANOTHER Big Shot die! Look Attis cute little purse!

I didn't do a very good job as this was my first one...I was in a hurry to get photos posted!
What do you think?! If you sign up to be a demonstrator, you could order all these goodies too! There's still time to sign up at the discounted price! Email me for more information!

lean on me

The "Lean On Me" stamp set is so adorable! I've had my eye one it for some time now, and finally ordered it. There are four stamp that include kids with different sympathetic and thoughtful sentiments.

This little girl is too sweet...

I didn't realize I did such a bad job coloring until I took the close-up photos.

I wish you could see the detail a little better. Her umbrella is colored with a silver glitter pen and outlined in a black wet-look pen to add a bit of definition.

What I'd you think of the yellow paper? It's a sneak peak from the new "Summer Smooches" product suite! One of the best perks of being a demonstrator is getting to order products before anyone else. As an added bonus, the starter kit is on sale right now until the end of March! Take advantage of it while you can!

belated valentine

So I had full intentions of sending out Valentine's Day cards to everyone this year, just as I had full intentions of sending out Christmas cards. However, this move has kept me from finishing either. Bummer.

Oh well...there's always next year! I just love this Fashionable Heart Embosslits Die! It cuts out the hearts AND embossed them all at the same time! I'm hoping Stampin' Up! makes more of these great little guys!

matchbook mints

Aren't these a cute party favor idea?

You can make these in any size...depending on how you want to decorate them. Here's how I made mine:

- cut your double-sided designer series paper (DSP) at 5 3/8 x 2 1/4
- score at 3/4 and 3 1/4 on the long side
- fold and crease score lines
- add your preferred mint and staple into the short flap (I used a mini stapler)
- decorate as desired

I think these are just too cute! And soooo easy to make!

moving cards

With the enlisted help of my mom, I was able to finish the 80 (yes, 80!) moving cars to send out after my husband and I move into our new house. This was the prototype I made before adding the printed verbiage at the bottom and the new address.

I LOVE the combination of Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party! Unfortunately the Neighborhood wheel is discontinued, but I was able to snatch it up before it was gone. A few rhinestones and some bakery's twine and they're finished! I'll have to post one of the completed cards as soon as we send them out in the mail. I don't want to ruin the whole surprise!

craft room withdrawal

The movers came...and packed.

My poor little craft room looked so sad and empty.

They loaded up and moved everything to Chicago...and into storage.

I have a great new room...even bigger than the old one! But it's not mine for another week!

I miss my stuff! I have a few crafty toys to get me by, but it's not the same as having my room to play in. I'm sure housekeeping here at the hotel thinks we've lost our minds. If you could only see all the stuff crammed in here!

Here's a peek at my new room. ONE. MORE. WEEK.

And here's the wallpaper I've ordered for my new room from Anthropologie! Yippee!

I found this fabulous wall unit at Ikea that I think I "need". It's a perfect place to store all of my stamps and toys and even has a place for my tv.

Let the countdown begin!

first weekend in the new city

New Year's was our first weekend spent in Chicago...our new home. Hubby took a new job that move us from Cincinnati. We've been living in a hotel since then (ugh) and I've been driving back and forth until we got everything moved. Fortunately, our new home will be finished being built in a few days and we close March 13th!

My parents came with us to check out the new town...

I can't wait to be moved and settled!

baby girl lollies bouquet

A friend's mother asked me to create a non-flower flower bouquet...what's more perfect than lollies?

Unfortunately, I took this picture to send to her and FORGOT to ate better ones to post. Sorry! Once I get completely moved into our new Chicago home and unpack my crafting goodies, I will post a tutorial on how to make these cute little bouquets.
Stay tuned...
