puppy chow

I had a workshop on Monday...

This is one of the projects we made:

I just LOVE the "Longfellows" level 2 hostess set...

I picked up these little tins from a local restaurant supply
store for only $.19!  I prepared the Chex Puppy Chow
recipe ahead of time and filled the tins.  I didn't show them
to my guests... I brought them out after we made the card
topper to attach!  They were such a hit!

Recipe:

Chex Mix Puppy Chow

9 cups Chex
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter.
Remove from heat (I usually melt mine in the microwave)
and stir in vanilla.

Pour over Chex cereal inside a large paper or plastic bag
(a CLEAN garbage bag works great).
Add powered sugar and shake well to coat.
Pour mixture on cookie sheets or wax paper to cool.

This is a cheap and yummy treat for parties!
